Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using QRCal, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you don't agree with any part of these terms, please don't use the service.

Description of Service

QRCal is a meeting scheduling app. You generate a QR code linked to your booking page, and anyone who scans it can book a meeting with you. The app integrates with Google Calendar to find available times and create events.

QRCal operates in two modes. In two-sided mode, both people are QRCal users and the app finds the soonest mutual time that works for everyone. In one-sided mode, only the QR code owner is a QRCal user, and the person scanning picks from the host's available slots as a guest.

QRCal is available as an iOS app with a web booking interface for guests.

Account Registration

Accounts are created through Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In. You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. One account per person. You must be at least 13 years old to use QRCal.

Google Calendar Access

QRCal requests read and write access to your Google Calendar. Read access is used to check your availability via FreeBusy queries. Write access is used to create and delete meeting events when you book or cancel through QRCal.

You can revoke Google Calendar access at any time through your Google account settings or within the QRCal app. QRCal accesses your calendar data only for scheduling purposes. For details on how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.

QR Codes

You generate QR codes that link to your booking page. QR codes are publicly scannable by design — anyone with access to your QR code can view your available times and request a meeting.

You're responsible for where you share your QR codes. Deactivating a QR code stops new bookings through it. QRCal is not responsible for unauthorized use of QR codes you've shared.

Bookings and Meetings

QRCal facilitates scheduling but is not a party to your meetings. Meeting confirmations are sent via Google Calendar invitations. You're responsible for attending meetings you confirm. Cancellations should be made with reasonable notice. QRCal does not guarantee meeting attendance by other parties.

Guest Bookings

Guests (non-QRCal users) provide their name and email address to book a meeting. Guest information is used solely for sending calendar invitations. If you're a host, you're responsible for informing guests about how their data is collected when they book through your QR code.

Subscriptions and Payments

QRCal offers a free tier and a Pro subscription with additional features. Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store. Billing, renewals, and refunds are governed by Apple's terms and conditions. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use QRCal for spam or unsolicited meeting requests
  • Attempt to access other users' calendar data without authorization
  • Reverse engineer or interfere with the service
  • Use automated tools to scrape or abuse the platform
  • Create fake accounts or impersonate others
  • Use the service for any illegal purpose

Intellectual Property

QRCal and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by AutoDB. The QRCal name, logo, and branding are our property. Your content — such as QR code labels and scheduling preferences — remains yours.

Limitation of Liability

QRCal is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for:

  • Missed meetings due to scheduling errors
  • Google Calendar API outages or changes
  • Unauthorized access to your QR codes
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability is limited to the amounts you've paid for QRCal in the 12 months prior to any claim.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination:

  • Your Google Calendar access is revoked
  • Your QR codes are deactivated
  • Your booking history is deleted

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of QRCal after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated through the app.
